NDT Technical Specialist

This is a great time to be joining Fujifilm. We are hiring for a Technical Software Specialist for our Stamford, CT location. We are looking for an individual with a strong NDT background or an IT technician interested in pursuing a career in the nondestructive testing field who will report to the Technical Manager. A successful Technical Software Specialist must have a thorough knowledge of NDT techniques and computer software and hardware.  The ideal candidate will also have excellent troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail. The focus of this position is Fujifilm NDT’s digital-imaging line of software and equipment, which includes Computed Radiography (CR), Digital Detector Arrays (DDA) and film-digitizers.

This candidate will responsible for but not limited to the following: 

  • Perform Digital-Imaging application testing in support of sales efforts. 

  • Pre-stage and QA all digital-imaging systems before shipment.

  • Maintain digital-imaging systems for NDT Lab use and field demos.

  • Install equipment and software at customer site.  

  • Provide operational and application training both on-site at the customer and online.

  • Develop and maintain software QA process with Fujifilm-Japan.

  • Participate on technical committees (ASTM, ASNT, ASME…) in support of Fujifilm equipment and software interests.

  • Provide technical support both on the phone and on-site as needed.

  • Maintain database of all equipment and software installations.

  • Qualify all computer hardware and OS changes before rolling out to customers.



Degree in Industrial Technology (NDT), Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field.

  • Proven experience in either the NDT or IT field.

  • Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills.

  • Excellent communication ability.

  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.

  • 3+ years’ experience in computer networks

  • 2+ years’ experience on current network operating systems
